Precedence Consulting

Our story

We started by solving business problems. Technology followed.

Precedence began as a consulting practice focused on understanding how organisations actually work.

Again and again we saw businesses facing the same underlying problem: the technology around them did not reflect the way the business operated. Teams worked across spreadsheets and disconnected systems. Information was entered more than once. Processes depended on manual follow-up. Management could not always see what was happening until it was too late.

The problem was rarely a lack of software. It was that the software had been chosen before the business had been properly understood.

That changed how we worked. We began starting with the operation — following processes from beginning to end, understanding the people involved, identifying where work stalled or information was lost, and then determining what technology would actually improve the outcome.

As that work grew, we began building the systems ourselves.

That led to Precedence Core, and to a broader technology capability built around the same principle: understand the business first, then build what the business actually needs.

Vision

A world where organisations can see how their business actually works.

We want organisations of every size to have the clarity, systems and technology needed to understand what is happening inside their operation — not weeks later, and not only at month end.

Mission

Understand the business. Improve the process. Build what fits.

Our mission is to understand how a business works before recommending technology, improve the processes that stand in its way, and build reliable systems when the right solution does not already exist.

Leadership

Two founders. One view of the problem.

Precedence is founder-led and deliberately hands-on. The same people who understand the business problem are involved in shaping the technology that solves it.

We are both technologists and builders, with complementary strengths across business operations, technology, software engineering and systems architecture. The overlap is the point: we do not separate the people who understand the problem from the people who build the answer.

Uzoma Udoma, Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Precedence Consulting

Uzoma Udoma

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Leads Precedence's consulting practice, client engagements and technology strategy, working at the intersection of business operations and software.

His work involves understanding how organisations operate, identifying operational problems, translating those problems into system requirements, and helping shape the technology used to solve them.

He is also actively involved in software development and technology delivery, bringing an engineering perspective to the consulting work rather than treating technology as something handed to another team.

His experience spans enterprise systems, cybersecurity, business operations, process improvement and technology transformation.

Henry Osita Anorue

Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Leads technology architecture, engineering and platform development at Precedence.

He works across backend systems, software architecture, infrastructure, integrations and product engineering, while remaining directly involved in the development of Precedence Core.

His engineering background includes AI evaluation and model optimisation, healthcare technology platforms, scalable backend systems and production infrastructure.

His role is not simply to build software. It is to turn the operational requirements established with clients into systems that are secure, maintainable and capable of running in production.

The team

A team built around the work.

The problems we work on rarely belong to one discipline. Understanding an organisation requires business thinking. Improving it requires process thinking. Building the right systems requires engineering. Making those systems useful requires design, data, and people who understand how the work is actually done.

We work across consulting, technology, engineering, data, design and business operations — bringing the right capabilities into each engagement rather than forcing every problem through the same team structure.

Different disciplines.
One standard.

We care about understanding the problem properly, building things properly, and leaving organisations with systems they can actually use.

Why Precedence exists

Because technology should work for the business — not the other way around.

Businesses are often asked to adapt themselves to the limitations of their software. We believe the starting point should be different: technology should reflect the way an organisation works.

That means understanding the operation before selecting a system. It means questioning a process before automating it. It means connecting systems when integration is the right answer. And when existing software cannot solve the problem properly, it means having the engineering capability to build something that can.

That is why Precedence brings consulting and technology together. We do not separate the people who understand the problem from the people who build the solution. We work across both sides.

Start with the business

Have a business problem that technology might solve?

You do not need to know which software to buy before speaking with us. Tell us what is happening inside the business. We will help you understand the problem, identify the opportunity and determine what the right solution should be.
